A Few of My Favorite Things

Here's just a growing list in no particular order of some of my favorite things. Most will probably be BFC related and others not.

Okay, this has probably got to my one of my number 1 rated items and I'll tell you why. This is the ONLY ONLY drink that keeps me from drinking coke otherwise I'd drink coke all day long. And I cannot drink any sort of "diet" cokes. If I'm going to have a coke I need the real thing with ALL of the sugar. My only problems ever drinking coke has been when I stop at fast food places, but when I'm home this is the only thing I drink. My aunt orders this stuff by the case and we drink it iced and unsweetened throughout the day. This really has surprised me because for iced tea I typically need sweet tea.. the sweeter the better and tons of sugar and it has to be brewed with sugar not stirred in later. Yes, I'm an iced tea snob. But this tea... for some reason is completely different. It's light, it's refreshing and has a slight lemony flavor and really quenches your thirst and is caffeine free. I actually prefer this than any other beverage and really wish the restaurants would take note and start carrying this. It is honestly my number one recommended product ever. I've been drinking this tea for at least about five years now and when I hear that we're down to our last box in the house I start to get a little nervous because I know my other options are sugar filled coke and I start praying the order arrives quickly.

I just realized that if you purchase on amazon in the four pack it is cheaper than the price if you purchase it by the case (12 boxes) on the sportea website. also, as an added bonus it looks like you get free shipping on amazon with this product if your order is over $25 which that will save $10 alone in shipping. try it out and let me know what you think!! everyone i know who has tried this tea loves it. my aunt even got my mother drinking this tea and she also orders it by the case. when i lived in my apartment nearby i would swing buy and "borrow" a couple boxes from her pantry. it's a good thing she loves me ;)

This is how we prepare it:

We use one of these nifty little iced tea maker's. I see it's here on amazon, but I got ours from Target on sale for less than $20. This is the best one I've found and the reason is that it is lightweight, this new shape of the container fits much better in the fridge, you can stick it in the dishwasher and it brews delicious iced tea that's ready in about ten minutes. Honestly, if we don't have this in the fridge at all times something has gone awry.

Okay, so you fill it with water, fill the pitcher with ice, drop in 3 quart size tea bags in the basket, plug it in and listen for your fresh brewed iced tea. I love the sound as it gurgles out fresh iced tea on a sunny warm california day.
