sweet stuff

well, it seems since you can only have 15 g of sugar per day that it leaves out a lot of sweet delicious desserts. that's not entirely true. i'll talk more about sweet substitutes later, but here's a little treat.

jorge suggests dark chocolate. first of all dark chocolate has all sorts of good for you things, but the key is it must be 85% or more cacao in the chocolate. you're able to still have enough to satisfy the craving for something sweet without overdoing it and for me there's something about dark chocolate i just love. it tastes richer to me and i savor it rather than wanting the entire bar.

i picked up a couple of these endangered species dark chocolate bars at the vitamin shoppe a few blocks from the house:

i've been eating a few little pieces the past couple days and really enjoying it. i wanted to get ghiradelli, but i haven't been able to find it yet. i'll keep my eyes open. i like this though because a portion of the money you spend "supports endangered animals habitat and humanity".
